Makes 6 servings
This appetizer is a great starter for barbecued meals.
 
Ingredients
2 cups frozen sweet cherries
2 cups pineapple chunks
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon curry powder, or to taste
   
Partly thaw cherries, then thread them alternately with pineapple on bamboo skewers.
Combine vinegar, oil, honey and curry powder in a small bowl; mix well.
Place kabobs on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat. (Or grill over medium coals.) Brush with curry mixture. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, turning and basting with additional sauce after each turn.
 
Note   Soak bamboo skewers in water to prevent burning during cooking.
