Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
1 container (5.2 ounces) soft cheese with garlic and herbs
1 whole focaccia, preferably herb- or onion-flavored, cut in half lengthwise
1-1/2 to 2 ounces (1/3 to 1/2 cup) thinly sliced red onion
1/2 cup coarsely chopped green salad olives, drained
1/4 cup mild banana pepper slices, drained
4 ounces deli hard salami, thinly sliced
6 ounces oven-roasted turkey, thinly sliced
1 package (2/3 ounce) basil leaves or to taste
   
1. Spread soft cheese over both cut sides of focaccia. Top bottom half evenly in the following order with onion, olives, pepper slices, salami, turkey and basil leaves. Place top focaccia half over basil and press down firmly.
2. Cut into 4 equal pieces. Serve immediately or wrap individually with plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.
 
Note   This sandwich is great for make-ahead lunches or picnics.
