Makes 6 (1/2-cup) servings
Ingredients
4 fresh ripe California nectarines
1 fresh ripe pear or apple
2 red bell peppers, seeded and chopped
3 tablespoons minced mild or hot fresh chile peppers
3 tablespoons minced onion
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
   
Chop nectarines and pear. Mix all ingredients well, stirring to bring out some juices. Cover with plastic wrap; chill until ready to serve. May be made up to 4 hours ahead.
