Chocolate Marshmallow Thumbprints

Chocolate and marshmallow—it's an ooey-gooey duo.

Ingredients

cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
|

1/2
|
cup granulated sugar
|
|
1

large egg
|
|
1
|
teaspoon vanilla extract
|
|
1-1/2
|
cups all-purpose flour
|
|

tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
|
|
1/4
|
teaspoon salt
|
|
1-1/4
|
cups "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits, divided
|
|
1/4
|
cup marshmallow cream
|
|
1/4
|
cup vanilla frosting
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets; set aside. In large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. In medium bowl combine flour, cocoa powder and salt; add to creamed mixture. Stir in 1 cup "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place about 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Make indentation in center of each ball with thumb. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven and re-indent; bake 1 minute. Cool completely on wire racks. In small bowl combine marshmallow cream and frosting. Fill each indentation with about 1/2 teaspoon marshmallow mixture. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Store between layers of waxed paper in tightly covered container.
