Fudge Frosting
Makes enough to fill and frost 2 (8-inch) round or square cake layers or frost 1 (13×9-inch) cake

Ingredients

large marshmallows, halved
|

2/3
|
cup semisweet chocolate chips
|
|
1/2
|
cup shortening
|
|
1/2
|
cup water
|
|
5

cups sifted powdered sugar
|
|
3

teaspoons vanilla
|
|
|

|
|
|
Place marshmallows, chocolate chips, shortening and water in 1-1/2-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat until melted and smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes. Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla with electric mixer at medium speed about 6 minutes or until mixture starts to lose gloss. Use frosting immediately.
