German Chocolate Muffins

tablespoons flaked coconut

tablespoons packed brown sugar

tablespoons chopped pecans

package (about 18 ounces) German chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix, plus ingredients to prepare mix
|

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease 12 jumbo (3-1/2-inch) muffin cups. Combine coconut, brown sugar and pecans in small bowl until well blended.
|
|
2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, reducing water by 1/4 cup. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling half full. Sprinkle coconut mixture evenly over batter.
|
|
3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into centers comes out clean. Cool muffins in pan 5 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack 10 minutes. Serve warm or cool completely.
