Stuffed Salisbury Steak with Mushroom & Onion Topping
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1/4 cup French's® Worcestershire Sauce
2-2/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions, divided
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 ounces Cheddar cheese, cut into 6 sticks (about 2×1/2×1/2 inches)
  Mushroom Topping (recipe follows)
   
Combine beef, Worcestershire, 1-1/3 cups French Fried Onions, garlic salt and pepper. Divide meat evenly into 6 portions. Place 1 stick cheese in center of each portion, firmly pressing and shaping meat into ovals around cheese.
Place steaks on grid. Grill over medium-high coals 15 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted into beef reaches 160°F, turning once. Serve with Mushroom Topping and sprinkle with remaining 1-1/3 cups onions.
Mushroom Topping
Makes 6 servings
 
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package (12 ounces) mushrooms, wiped clean and quartered
2 tablespoons French's® Worcestershire Sauce
   
Prep Time 25 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms; cook 5 minutes or until browned, stirring often. Add Worcestershire. Reduce heat to low. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
