Hot Mulled Cider

Ingredients

gallon apple cider
|

cup packed light brown sugar

teaspoons balsamic or cider vinegar

|

teaspoon vanilla

cinnamon stick

whole cloves

cup applejack or bourbon (optional)

|
Combine all ingredients except applejack in large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in applejack, if desired. Pour into punch bowl.
