Date Citrus Muffins
Makes 12 muffins

cup margarine, softened
can (8 ounces) DOLE® Crushed Pineapple, undrained
tablespoon grated orange peel
cup all-purpose flour
cup whole wheat flour
teaspoons baking powder
teaspoon ground nutmeg
cup DOLE® Chopped Dates
cup chopped almonds, toasted
Beat honey and margarine in large bowl 1 minute. Beat in egg, then undrained crushed pineapple and orange peel.
Combine flours, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, dates and almonds in medium bowl. Stir into pineapple mixture just until moistened.
Spoon batter into greased muffin cups. Bake at 375°F 25 minutes. Turn out onto racks to cool.
