Green's Mint Meringue Trees
Makes 1-1/2 dozen cookies

Ingredients

large egg whites
|
|
1/4
|
teaspoon mint extract
|
|
1/2
|
cup granulated sugar
|
|
|
Green food coloring
|
|
1/2
|
cup "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits
|

|
Preheat oven to 250°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside. In large bowl beat egg whites until foamy. Add mint extract; beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form. Fold in a few drops food coloring to make desired shade of green. Using pastry bag with round or star tip, pipe 3-inch tree shapes onto prepared baking sheet. Decorate with "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until set. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute; cool completely on wire rack. Store in tightly covered container.
