Brandied Cranapple Punch
Makes 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
1-1/2 quarts (6 cups) cranapple juice cocktail
1 small orange, thinly sliced
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
12 whole cloves
1 cup brandy or cognac
  Orange slices (optional)
   
1. Combine all ingredients except brandy in large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; add brandy.
2. Ladle into mugs, leaving cinnamon sticks and cloves in saucepan. Garnish with orange slices.
 
Slow Cooker Directions   Combine all ingredients except brandy in large slow cooker; cover and turn heat to high until punch is hot, about 1 hour. Stir in brandy; turn heat to low. Punch may be kept warm and served from slow cooker up to 2 hours.
