Colorful Caramel Apples
Makes 6 apples
These decadent apples taste as good as they look!

Ingredients
1 package (14 ounces) caramels, unwrapped
2 tablespoons water
6 wooden craft sticks
6 medium apples, rinsed and completely dried
1 cup chopped nuts, divided
1 cup "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits, divided
2 squares (1 ounce each) semi-sweet chocolate
2 squares (1 ounce each) white chocolate

Line baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside. In medium saucepan over medium heat combine caramels and water; cook, stirring constantly, until melted. Remove from heat. Insert 1 craft stick into stem end of each apple. Dip apples, one at a time, into caramel mixture, coating completely. Remove excess caramel mixture by scraping apple bottom across rim of saucepan. Place on waxed paper. Place 3/4 cup nuts in shallow dish; set aside. Place 3/4 cup "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits in separate shallow dish; set aside. Place semi-sweet chocolate in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute; stir. Repeat as necessary until chocolate is completely melted, stirring at 10-second intervals. Drizzle chocolate over apples. Roll apples in nuts and "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Refrigerate apples 10 minutes. Place white chocolate in small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute; stir. Repeat as necessary until white chocolate is completely melted, stirring at 10-second intervals. Drizzle white chocolate over apples. Sprinkle apples with remaining 1/4 cup nuts and remaining 1/4 cup "M&M's"® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Refrigerate until firm.
