ripe medium bananas, sliced diagonally

tablespoons dark rum or brandy (optional)

In 12-inch skillet, bring I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread, brown sugar and bananas to a boil. Cook 2 minutes, stirring gently. Carefully add rum to center of pan and cook 15 seconds. Serve hot banana mixture over scoops of ice cream and top, if desired, with sweetened whipped cream.
Note
Recipe can be halved.
Tip
Choose ripe but firm bananas for this recipe. They will hold their shape better when cooked.
