1. Combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in wide shallow bowl. Beat in eggs and milk. Add bread; let stand to coat, then turn to coat other side.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet over medium-low heat. Add 4 bread slices; cook until brown. Turn and cook other side. Remove; keep warm. Repeat with remaining butter and bread. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Garnish as desired. Serve immediately.
Note
Freezer burn, which is indicated by dry white or gray patches on the surface of frozen foods, is caused by improper wrapping. Food that is freezer burned is safe to eat. Just trim off the affected areas because they have an unpleasant flavor.
