Ingredients
2 squares (1 ounce each) white chocolate
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
  Decorator’s Icing (recipe follows)
1 cup "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits
Black string licorice, cut into 4-inch lengths

In top of double boiler over hot water melt white chocolate. Remove from heat. In large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg, vanilla and melted white chocolate. In medium bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture. Wrap and refrigerate dough 2 to 3 hours. Preheat oven to 350°F. Working with half the dough at a time on lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 3×5-inch rectangles; cut off 2 corners from one short side. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Using drinking straw, cut out small hole from tapered end of rectangle. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks. Prepare Decorator’s Icing; spread over cookies. Write names on cookies using "M&M's"® Chocolate Mini Baking Bits. Place one piece licorice through hole and tie. Store in tightly covered container.

Decorator’s Icing   In medium bowl combine 2-1/2 cups powdered sugar and 5 tablespoons milk until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon additional milk if necessary to make icing pourable.
