Peas Florentine Style
Makes 5 servings

Ingredients

(10-ounce) packages frozen peas
|
|
1/4
|
cup FILIPPO BERIO® Olive Oil
|
|
4
|
ounces Canadian bacon, cubed
|
|
1
|
clove garlic, minced
|
|
1
|
tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley
|
|
1
|
teaspoon sugar
|
|
|
Salt
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
Place peas in large colander or strainer; run under hot water until slightly thawed. Drain well. In medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until hot. Add bacon and garlic; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until garlic turns golden. Add peas and parsley; cook and stir over high heat 5 to 7 minutes or until heated through. Drain well. Stir in sugar; season to taste with salt.
