Hot Diggity Dogs
Makes 10 servings (about 2-1/2 cups onion topping)

Ingredients

tablespoons butter or margarine
|
|
2
|
large (1 pound) sweet onions, thinly sliced
|
|
1/2
|
cup French's® Classic Yellow® Mustard
|
|
1/2
|
cup ketchup
|
|
10
|
frankfurters
|
|
10
|
frankfurter buns
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Melt butter in medium skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook 10 minutes or until very tender, stirring often. Stir in mustard and ketchup. Cook over low heat 2 minutes, stirring often.

Place frankfurters and buns on grid. Grill over medium coals 5 minutes or until frankfurters are browned and buns are toasted, turning once. To serve, spoon onion mixture into buns; top each with 1 frankfurter.

Tip
Onion topping is also great on hamburgers or smoked sausage heros.
