Summer's Gold Medal Salsa
Makes 6 (1/2-cup) servings

Ingredients

fresh ripe California nectarines
|
|

fresh ripe pear or apple
|
|

|
red bell peppers, seeded and chopped
|
|

tablespoons minced mild or hot fresh chile peppers
|

tablespoons minced onion
|
|
3
|
tablespoons fresh lime juice
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Chop nectarines and pear. Mix all ingredients well, stirring to bring out some juices. Cover with plastic wrap; chill until ready to serve. May be made up to 4 hours ahead.
