Crunchy Onion Coated Steak 'n' Tomatoes
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients
1-1/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 pounds boneless beef sirloin steak, fat trimmed (1 inch thick)
4 large ripe tomatoes, cut in half crosswise
4 tablespoons French's® Honey Dijon Mustard
   
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 35 minutes
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly crush French Fried Onions with back of spoon in medium bowl. Stir in bread crumbs, parsley and garlic powder; mix well.
2. Place steak in large roasting pan. Arrange tomatoes, cut-side up around steak. Spread 3 tablespoons mustard on top and sides of steak. Brush remaining mustard on top of tomatoes. Sprinkle tomatoes with 1/2 cup onions mixture. Press remaining mixture firmly on steak.
3. Bake, uncovered, 35 to 40 minutes or until steak is medium-rare (or to desired doneness) and tomatoes are tender. Let meat rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with extra mustard.
