cup dried apricot halves

slices bacon

tablespoons apricot preserves
3
tablespoons lemon juice

tablespoon Dijon mustard
1
teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Precook sausage 10 minutes in gently boiling water. Drain and cut into 3/4-inch slices. Alternate sausage and apricots on 8 wooden skewers,* weaving bacon back and forth in ribbonlike fashion between them. Grill or broil over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Combine preserves, lemon juice, mustard and Worcestershire in small bowl. Brush preserves mixture on kabobs; continue grilling, turning and basting frequently, until bacon is cooked through. Refrigerate leftovers.
*Soak wooden skewers in water 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
