Sukiyaki

Sukiyaki is a dish that became popular in Japan in the late 1800's after foreign visitors introduced beef. It consists of thin strips of beef, vegetables and sometimes tofu that are simmered in a mixture of soy sauce and rice wine. It is usually prepared at the table.
