Saté

Saté (also satay) is a dish popular in Indonesia and Malaysia. It consists of pieces or strips of meat, poultry or seafood that have been marinated and then threaded onto skewers for grilling. Saté is generally served with a spicy peanut sauce. In Indonesia and Malaysia, saté is cooked to order by street vendors over portable charcoal braziers.
