Liqueur is the result of
infusing an alcoholic beverage, such as brandy or whiskey, with a natural
flavoring
ingredient, such as fruit, herbs, nuts and cocoa. They are generally
served as after-dinner drinks or used as ingredients in cocktails and in cooking
and baking. Liqueurs commonly used in cooking and baking include
amaretto
(almond), crème de cacao (chocolate), crème de menthe (mint), Grand Marnier (orange), Kahlúa
(coffee) and Triple Sec (orange).
