Garnishing is the term used to describe the technique of adding an edible ornament to a finished dish for the purpose of enhancing its visual appearance. Garnishes can be as simple as a sprig of parsley or as elegant as green onion brushes. Colors and textures should be chosen with both the food and the serving piece in mind.
